So you never attended a wax carving jewellery workshop and embarked on your wax carving journey on your own accord. You sent your wax carved ring off to be cast in metal and it's in your hand with a spiky sprue looking dull and all. Now you're thinking "well, what do I do now?"! You're feeling lost and overwhelmed, and that is totally normal!

If you have a freshly cast piece of silver/gold in your hand and aren't sure how to get it smooth and shiny - this class is for you! It's

BYO cast ring. This class is for finishing one ring. I'll take you through the steps to finish it professionally. I'll provide all tools, polishing compounds and equipment for use in the studio - you just have to bring your own lost wax cast (or sand cast) ring! Allow 2 - 2.5 hours for this class!

Important note: this class does not include preparing stones for setting in metal, stone setting techniques, graver work/engraving, soldering or casting/assembly. It is strictly for finishing plain metal stone-less silver or gold rings only (no platinum or 22K gold is permitted). Suitable ring designs for finishing in this class are: stacking ring, dome ring, signet ring etc.

Please reach out before booking to ensure your ring design is suitable and that I have the correct tools and attachments onsite!

Students who have attended the one-week wax carving masterclasses are invited to purchase this class as an add-on in the future if they require help with finishing/polishing any of their independently cast items from their classes!

Much Love,

Dahna
